GDF SUEZ E&P UK has confirmed that the 30/1a-11 Faraday exploration well has discovered gas-condensate having reached a total depth of 18,362 feet.
Faraday is an HP/HT discovery is located on block 30/1a in the Central North Sea. It was spudded on 31 July 2011 and completed on 15th January 2012 using the Transocean GSF Galaxy II jackup rig.
The Faraday well results are currently being evaluated prior to making a decision on further appraisal activity.
